What to Bring


Going away to school can be a daunting prospect, especially if that school is in a foreign country. We want to help you make the transition as smoothly as possible. Here are some notes on what to bring to help with your packing.

Clothing

  • Socks, underwear, undershirts
  • Pajamas
  • Housecoat
  • Slippers or other indoor footwear
  • T-shirts and long sleeved shirts
  • Pants
  • Sweaters
  • Waterproof rain jacket
  • Warm winter coat
  • Warm hat and scarf
  • Rain boots
  • Running shoes
  • Bathing suit and beach towel
  • Beach sandals

Toiletries

  • Hair brush
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Soap
  • Shampoo & conditioner

Electronics

  • Cell phone
  • Laptop computer

Room decor

  • Flag of your home country
  • Posters, photos, etc.

Other items to consider:

Although some of these items can be rented locally, you are welcome to bring your own from home. Items that are too large to pack in your luggage can be mailed to the school if needed. Just be sure to include your name on the address label so we know it’s yours!

Items you do not need to bring
  • School supplies such as pens, pencils, notebooks and binders. The school will provide these items for all boarding students.
  • Bedroom linens. Dorms are supplied with bedsheets, a blanket, a comforter and a pillow with pillowcase.
